When I think of grace, I think of undeserved love. If you haven’t heard my story, I invite you to listen here: Julie Graham’s Untold Story of Heartbreak, Healing and Hope – 101. I’ve finally come to terms with the truth that he wants my life story to be big and bold and all of it point to him… and it’s His grace that has been on me since the day I was conceived.Ģ Timothy 2:1 says “You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” I find my strength, my hope, and my help in Christ alone and he gives me the grace I need, moment by moment…and that makes me one strong woman. And personally, my life has had lots of significantly hard moments. God’s grace to and for and on me is the only reason I have any strength to live my #gritandgracelife. When I think of grace, I think of strength. This is going to seem strange, but hang with me. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. And you can’t take credit for this it is a gift from God. God saved you by his grace when you believed. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. It’s a beautiful thing, God’s grace and love. This superior love that we now know reorders our lives and gives us great purpose in all that we say and do. When God initiates, he never relents… and who could resist such a great love? And like any great love, it sends us out into the world with a new song to sing. There are no limits, boundaries, exceptions, or disqualifications to whom it will change. Grace gives us eyes to see that we are all on the same playing field and God’s love and kindness can capture any heart. Instead, this insanely special gift, once realized and accepted, nips that human inclination in the bud. This was all his idea so that we couldn’t boast or brag. Grace is initiated, sustained, and completed by God and God alone. It’s a gift that he went to the greatest lengths to give to his children, and it’s free. Grace is all about God and the great love with which he loves us. My prayer is that you know him because if you do, your life does too. This truth helps me awaken each day knowing whatever the day brings, my life has layers of what I need a promise from the one who loves me most. When life breaks our hearts, we are discouraged, angry, disappointed, or even when we walk away he gives us the perfect grace we will not find anywhere else. He sent his son to give “grace upon more grace.” His life, death, and resurrection provided “grace upon more grace” when we didn’t even know him. For a God whose love is without limits, it wasn’t enough. God was not content to just offer the grace shown in the lives of his Old Testament followers. These verses have always told me why, “ And now out of his fullness, we are fulfilled! And from him, we receive grace heaped upon more grace! Moses gave us the Law, but Jesus, the Anointed One, unveils truth wrapped in tender mercy.” John 1:16-17 (TPT) In the 260 chapters of the New Testament, the word is found nearly 13 times more frequently. Grace is a word frequently used within the 929 chapters of the Old Testament, most often requesting grace in the eyes of God. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.Ephesians 1:6-7 Grace No Matter What So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases his mercies never come to an end they are new every morning great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 Grace is in our name because we cannot live a balanced life without it! Read below to see how much of an impact God’s grace has had on the team at Grit and Grace Life.
